Out and about
A number of our sailors have been competing nationally and these include:

Ann Biglin finished 2nd crewing for Nigel Hufton in his Lark at Lee on Solent.  This was a two day open and Ann said they came very close to winning it, if it hadn’t been for Nigel misreading the course and trying to finish a lap early whilst having a good lead.

Harry Marlow has just completed his Optimist Nationals at Weymouth Sailing Academy amidst some horrendous wind conditions and 380 entries! Rob and Sarah managed to get some selfies with Sir Ben Ainslie!

Ade Padro, sailing with Jane Scott-Davies, nailed the Comet Trio Open at Cotswold Country Park Open with 1st places in all races! Well done!

Boat Stakes

Not sure I am allowed to mention this but…… Autumn is approaching, then Winter…., but with winter comes those high winds (hopefully).  As you are aware, all boats should be attached firmly and securely via ties to stakes in the ground, even if on road trailers.  Thanks to Andy Ward, our Site Manager, he has acquired 20 sets of stakes for £10 a pair.  If you need stakes then please purchase them from behind the bar.
