Lawrence wins the L2K Jinks Trophy
Laser 2000 Winter Series winner, Lawrence Dooley, was presented with the Jinks Trophy by the very Bob Jinks after whom we are proud to name the first ever trophy to be awarded in the Shustoke Laser 2000 Fleet. Starting in January the series used the middle club race of the day alternating Saturdays and Sundays through to the last one on 18th April. Lawrence sailed consistently well over the 12 race series with a variety of different crews: Bob Heath, Rowan May, David Green, David Griffiths, finishing with 20 points in total. Bagsy finished second with 11 points followed by Kevin and Wendy in third place with 8. Special K finished 4th with 7 points.

Scoring note: We changed the usual sailing race scoring system to reward the winner of a race with more boats over one with fewer. For example, with 4 boats in the race the winner scored 4, second place 3, third place 2 and the last scored 1.
