Padro's Pace
Jim Padro in his new boat is currently setting the pace in our fleet at Shustoke particularly with one of his grandsons calling the shots! Thursday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays too will often see Jim on the water up for a tacking duel with the best.
MS3 at Grafham
Bagsy finished 14/31 at Grafham crewed by our coach, Nick Hollis from December last year. I have lots of feedback from Nick which I'm trying to put into practice sailing with Lawrence at Shustoke. . We sailed with a much softer rig than I have been accustomed to and less main sail luff tension. I am willing to reveal all over beer any Thursday evening! Bagsy will be at Weir Wood this weekend for MS4 where the NOR promises 8 races with 2 discards at the home club of the champion L2K sailors.
Cooking
We are cooking on Thursday 8th July. Menu: Chilli (me!) and rice followed by homemade cake from the Dooley family.. All offers of help gratefully received!
Crew Available
Irene Eames (irene_eames @hotmail.com) would like to get some experience crewing. She did the Level 2 course last September and hasn't done much sailing since. She sailed with me last Thursday handling the gennaker like an expert in the race. Send her an email if you are looking for crew.
