It has been a fantastic end to the season for some of our travelling sailors. In no particular order:
Jamie:
Jamie had a run of great results in the Solo Midlands series this year, making him 5th overall. He also came 15th out of 54 boats in the Polar Pursuit at Chase particularly credible as there were several national and world champions competing in this event!
David and Zara:
Sailing their Miracle they joined Jamie at Chase for the Polar Pursuit where they came 21st.
Neil:
Neil was the third and final Shustoke member sailing in the Polar Pursuit where he came 25th. He also came just behind Jamie in 6th place overall in the Solo Midlands series.
Oscar:
Travelled a little bit further than the rest all the way to Brazil for the Youth Sailing World Championships, representing Team GB in the 420. They came 6th overall counting one 1st and two 2nds!
Stuart, Ann and Nick Hydon:
Stuart and Ann won the Lark End of Season Championships making them (and Nick!) 7th overall in the Lark travellers series.
Olly and Zara:
Came 10th overall in the Solo Midlands series. Olly and Zara made their Lark Open debut at the Lark End of Season Championships at Barnt Green where they came 9th overall and first in Silver Fleet. This made Olly 12th overall in the Lark travellers series. They also took part in the Grafham Grand Prix (part of the winter Sailjuice Series) where they came 38th out of 47.
